Technical information
This T-shaped assembly is used when combining two or more fluid streams—such as blending media with cells, or preparing buffer solutions.
It allows for controlled merging of ingredients at the right time and ratio. Often seen in formulation or buffer prep, it supports flexible process design while maintaining a closed system.
While typically referred to as a T-transfer for two inlets, it is also common to use multiple inlets converging into a single process line. In those cases, the configuration may resemble a manifold layout rather than a simple T-shape — but the purpose remains the same: combining fluid inputs in a controlled and sterile way.
